Vista Paint Will Pay $1 million To Settle CA Waste Suit

Vista Paint Corp. has agreed to pay $1 million to six county District Attorney’s Offices in California to settle a lawsuit charging illegal transportation and mismanagement of hazardous waste an涂层铣刀d materials.

Under a settlement signed Monday (Jan. 3) in the S鼠标uperior Court of California in Orange County, where Vista is based, the company agreed to pay $1.075 million. The total includes $848,000 in civil penalties and costs to be used for supplemental environmental projects that will provide support for the future enforcement of California environmental law.

Six Counties Affected

California’s Hazardous Waste Control Law requires hazardous waste to be properly handled and disposed of from the location where it was generated. New Practices Ordered
